John Sandys-Wunsch is certainly right about the Virgin Birth: the list
of commentators is long. But what intrigues me is that the question keeps
popping up (on Rosh Hashana yet!) long after one might have assumed that
--in scholarly circles at least--it had been put to rest.
Are we now going to be reading the old arguments about the difference
between _alma_ (young woman) and _b'tula_ (virgin), etc.? Please: enough
is enough.
