LECTURER (A23/91)

DEPARTMENT OF ANTHROPOLOGY

Applications are invited for a three year fixed term (renewable) lectureship
in a small but growing Linguistics programme within the Department. The
appointee will be expected to take up duties as early as possible in 1992.
He/she must be prepared to teach and develop a broad range of courses at all
levels of the undergraduate curriculum, including Honours, to supervise
postgraduate students, and to undertake research. Applicants with any
specialisation will be considered for this post, though special consideration
will be given to applicants with a background in (first or second) language
acquisition or computational linguistics/natural language processing. The

appointee must have a PhD in Linguistics (or in a cognate discipline).

SALARY RANGE: AUD$33,163 - $43,043 p.a.
