WPCL DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

ENGLISH LECTURESHIPS (2)

Applications are invited from candidates with proven research records for
two lectureships in the following areas of English Studies:

(1) 18th/19th century Literature in English

(2) Cultural Theory

Preference will be given to applicants whose work engages with
contemporary debates on criticism, theory and history. With reference to both
posts, potential applicants may include those with an interest in the
following fields: colonialism; language and discourse; philosophy and
literature; American, gender and theatre studies.

The Department especially welcomes applications from women and members of ethnic
minorities.

Salary will be on the University Lecturer Grade A/B Scales: ,13,601 )
25,107 pounds sterling per annum.
