Subject: Edict of Milan public domain source wanted
I would like to find an English translation of the Edict of Milan
(Constantine's edict establishing the Church) in a public-domain source
(i.e. published before 1922). Anyone have a suggestion?
Portions of the edict are included in _Documents of the Christian
Church_, by Bettenson, Oxford Univ. Press. I have the second edition.
V. pp. 15-16. First published 1943. However, the works quoted
appear to be older translations, and only the 'selection' is
copyrighted by Oxford.
The selection cites Lactantius, _De mort. pers._, XLVIII. Since this
should be in the library collection, _Ante-Nicence Fathers_, published
in the last century, you can quote from that work freely.

Check the internet Medieval Sourcebook at http://kuhttp.cc.ukans.edu. Also
look at the Ane-Nicene, Niecen and Post Nicene Father Series that is mirrored
all over the net. Try the Christian Classics Etherial Library at Wheaton
College.
