ABOUT the Regional Research Update

The pilot edition of the Regional Research Update was published in
print form in February 1998 and we are pleased to introduce the first
web-based edition of the newsletter. As a joint project between the
Adamastor Trust in the Western Cape and the National Research
Foundation (NRF), the objective of the Update is to keep the research
and academic community in the Western Cape, South Africa informed of
research opportunities, news and resources available locally,
nationally and internationally. At present, the specific target
audiences of the Update include postgraduate students and their
supervisors, and other academics and researchers in the social
sciences and humanities.

Please forward this information to your colleagues who may be
interested in the Regional Research Update.
