[The following was kindly sent to Humanist by a reader who commented that,
"The appended posting seeks a very unique background and set of talents,
including a huge amount of literary sophistication - which seemed to me
likely to be found on your list more than any other list I know of." High
praise, for which we can justly feel proud -- for a few seconds, then go
