The conference will assess the changes that have taken place in the
Humanities in the last thirty-five years and will consider the future
of the Humanities in the 21st century. The Modern Humanities Research
Association (MHRA) organized the first such conference in 1968 as part
of its fiftieth anniversary celebrations. The European Humanities
Research Centre of the University of Oxford is presenting this
follow-up conference in conjunction with the MHRA and other relevant
bodies.

There will be a registration fee of 20 pounds (conference sessions on

welcome to register and pay on the day, but are asked to send
