        Subject: volume and issue numbering

When Humanist's server crashed last July, somehow the volume and issue
numbering was affected. What should have been 32.144 became 31.175; five
subsequent issues were affected before everything stopped working
altogether. Hence the renewed Humanist resumed at 31.730. Thanks to
Francois Lachance then Michael Sperberg-McQueen for noticing the
problem. Numbering has now been reset. For any archivists of Humanist
out there, my apologies, also to everyone for the additional fussing
over getting things right.

Yours,
W
