Humanist Discussion Group, Vol. 32, No. 242. Department of Digital Humanities, King's College London Hosted by King's Digital Lab www.dhhumanist.org Submit to: humanist@dhhumanist.org Date: 2018-12-04 06:01:02+00:00 From: Willard McCartySubject: PhD Studentship: Information Extraction and Entity Linkage in Historical Crime Records > From: Tanner, Simon > From: Bob Shoemaker [r.shoemaker@sheffield.ac.uk] Dear All, Some of you may recall that we advertised this EPSRC PhD studentship late last year, but unfortunately the only qualified applicant chose to take up a job offer instead. So we are readvertising it, with less ambitious expectations of the qualifications needed (applicants should *either *have a background in computer science together with an interest in the humanities, *or* background in a humanities discipline together with numeracy skills and an aptitude for programming.) Please can you circulate this announcement via any appropriate channel? https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/history/study/phd/funding/information-extraction . Thanks and best wishes, Bob -- Robert Shoemaker Professor of Eighteenth-Century British History Co-director: The Digital Panopticon: Tracing London Convicts in Britain and Australia, 1785-1925 Co-director, Old Bailey Online and related projects Department of History, University of Sheffield, Sheffield S10 2TN 0114 222 2584 _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe at: http://dhhumanist.org/Restricted List posts to: humanist@dhhumanist.org List info and archives at at: http://dhhumanist.org Listmember interface at: http://dhhumanist.org/Restricted/ Subscribe at: http://dhhumanist.org/membership_form.php
