Hi,

I highly recommend this book by Carrie Noland on the subject of modern day
graffiti:

NOLAND, C. (2009). Agency and embodiment: performing gestures/producing culture.
Cambridge, Mass, Harvard University Press.

My fave quote is about her "fascination with the sensuous choreography of
graffiti... might very well be due to the way it dramatizes the functioning of
culture. Culture as gesture, producing always more and other than it intends."

Thanks,
        Simon
