Humanist Discussion Group, Vol. 32, No. 439. Department of Digital Humanities, King's College London Hosted by King's Digital Lab www.dhhumanist.org Submit to: humanist@dhhumanist.org Date: 2019-02-08 10:46:08+00:00 From: Simon GanahlSubject: Relaunch of campusmedius.net on Feb 1, 2019 Campus Medius explores and expands the possibilities of digital cartography in cultural and media studies. The project is developing from a historical case study to a mapping platform. The initial version of campusmedius.net consists of an interactive map with a timeline displaying selected events within 24 hours in Vienna on May 13 and 14, 1933. The forthcoming version of the website will additionally focus on the main event of this exemplary time-space: a so-called "Turks Deliverance Celebration" (Türkenbefreiungsfeier) in Schönbrunn Palace Park, which is mediated in three different interfaces (from a bird's-eye perspective, panoramically, and in street view). The aim of Campus Medius is to establish a collaborative platform for mapping media experiences in everyday life. -- Dr. Simon Ganahl | +43 650 544 5180 | simon.ganahl@univie.ac.at @univie (https://www.univie.ac.at/germanistik/simon-ganahl) @uzh (https://www.fsw.uzh.ch/de/personenaz/lehrstuhlsarasin/ganahl.html) Campus Medius (https://campusmedius.net/) Le foucaldien (https://foucaldien.net/) _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe at: http://dhhumanist.org/Restricted List posts to: humanist@dhhumanist.org List info and archives at at: http://dhhumanist.org Listmember interface at: http://dhhumanist.org/Restricted/ Subscribe at: http://dhhumanist.org/membership_form.php
