Department of Digital Humanities, King's College London Hosted by King's Digital Lab www.dhhumanist.org Submit to: humanist@dhhumanist.org Date: 2019-04-26 16:50:38+00:00 From: Sharon HealySubject: Request for Participation in a Qualitative Study, on Engagement with Web Archives Opportunities, Challenges, and Potentialities for Engagement with Web Archives Dear all, First, to introduce myself, my name is Sharon Healy and I am a PhD candidate in Digital Humanities at Maynooth University, Ireland. My research focuses on bridging the gap between the creation of web archives and the use of the archived web for current and future research. As part of my PhD project, I will be conducting a qualitative study, with the purpose of examining and analysing the opportunities, challenges, and potentialities for engagement with web archives and archived web content from different perspectives. The study will entail conducting interviews (audio or email) with participants who are Users and Non-users of web archives, but also participants who are cultural heritage professionals (such as librarians, archivists, digital curators, web archivists, etc.). More information about the study is available here: https://liveandarchived.wordpress.com/2019/04/22/expression-of-interest-web- archives/ I would greatly appreciate if you would consider sharing the link to the study with colleagues and students who might have some interest to participate. The study is voluntary and participants may withdraw at any time during the research process. Many thanks for your time, and please feel free to contact me should you require any more information about the study.
