The topic is open, but must address the foci of the Institute and journal, which include “the interrelationships between the humanities and science in Hispanic (Spanish American, Peninsular, and U.S. Latino/a/ix), as well as Luso-Brazilian literatures and cultures" (https://ometeca.org/). Papers written in English, Spanish, or Portuguese on the following are especially welcomed: (1) the environment (such as ecocriticism, ecofeminism, the Anthropocene, indigenous perspectives, animal and other biota/human relationships, environmental sciences, and so on); (2) digital humanities; (3) Peninsular or Latin/o/a/ix American literature; (4) other arts (including photography, film, etc.); (5) science and humanities (including medicine, technology, etc.).
