     Good day

The South African Centre for Digital Language Resources
(https://www.sadilar.org/, SADiLaR)
has a position available for a Director.

     Purpose of the position:

SADiLaR is a national research infrastructure hosted as a research
entity by the North West University. It forms part of the flagship
South African Research Infrastructure Roadmap project (SARIR) of the
Department of Science and Innovation. SADiLaR initiates and
co-ordinates dedicated projects being executed by the centre itself,
as well as by the nodes comprising the University of Pretoria,
University of South Africa, the CSIR, CTexT as well as a partnership
(ICELDA) of four South African universities. The position of
Director is part of the contractual requirement with the DSI to
oversee the activities of the Centre over the medium to long- term.

The director will in principle be responsible for all activities
taking place within the Centre and its nodes, whilst overseeing the
attainment of strategic goals as determined by the steering
committee of SADiLaR, and/or advised by the Scientific Advisory
Committee. The director will further be responsible for building the
image of the Centre by creating an environment for national and
international research co-operation. The attainment of international
and national research funding to augment current funding sources
will be amongst the items on the working agenda of the Director.

Hi all,

Please help spread the word: RRCHNM is hiring! We're looking for two
2-year postdoctoral fellows for the 2020-2022 academic years.

The primary responsibilities of this position are working with staff and
faculty at RRCHNM on existing projects and developing proposals for
externally funded digital history projects that will be created at
RRCHNM. Fellows will develop proposals out of their own research
interests and expertise, in addition to collaborating with other PIs on
proposals. One fellow will specifically work on Tropy
(https://tropy.org),
while the other will work on a variety of center projects
(https://rrchnm.org/what-we-do/).

Fellows who generate sufficient external funding to finance their
position beyond the 2 years of the fellowship may be hired as research
(non-tenure track) faculty at RRCHNM beyond the term of their fellowship.

I'm happy to answer questions via email or Twitter (@jotis13).
Applications are due 1/22/20: https://jobs.gmu.edu/postings/47415

Cheers,
Jessica
