The position is part-time (50%) for three years. The exact balance of responsibilities will depend on the researcher’s experience and skills, but will comprise: * In the first half of the project, working with the team to develop the VRO, supporting the gathering of relevant historical data. This will involve independent research in response to the needs of the project, and also the co-organisation of a historical research workshop. * In the second half of the project, working with the team to develop materials to disseminate use of the VRO in academic, educational (schools) and public contexts (museums) and investigating user responses. This may involve giving public lectures and demonstrations and academic presentations, as well as the co-organization of workshops with users of the VRO; the role will also include leading on the development of the project’s website.
