One thing about academia.edu that annoys me. I get several emails per day
from them because they found that someone 10 years ago cited a
publication of mine from 15 years ago and perhaps I want to look at that
new publication. Or that I looked at something at academia and there is
something else that their computer algorithm says is similar that I
certainly want to read.

And then I click to go to their site - and often, not every time, it tells
me that I could access that information, that very important information
that I clicked to get - but that I need to pay for a Premium membership
which is usually $20 USD/month, but I can have it for only $99 USD/year.

I guess I'm an ungrateful wretch, but I just refuse to Upgrade to Premium.
