Digitizing Enlightenment Twitterstorm and Virtual Book
Launch, 3 August 2020

Dear colleagues,

Glenn Roe, Melanie Conroy, Greg Brown and I would like to invite you to
participate in a Digitizing Enlightenment tweetstorm event to discuss
the transformative impact of digital research and resources in
Enlightenment studies, share project updates, ideas etc. We are timing
it for this very Monday, August 3.

The event is intended as a celebration the publication of
/Digitizing Enlightenment: Digital Humanities and the Transformation of
Eighteenth-Century Studies/, with Oxford University Studies in
the Enlightenment, and to compensate for the postponement of
the Digitizing Enlightenment V conference in Montpellier, France (now
rescheduled for 2021) and the cancellation of our book launch event,
which would have been held there.

Please share this news with others in your networks who share an
interest in digital humanities, Enlightenment studies, and/or book
history and encourage them to add their own comments or links to their
own work to the conversation with the hashtag or to follow along with
the hashtag #DigitizingEnlightenment
(https://twitter.com/hashtag/digitizingenlightenment?src=hashtag_click).

Please treat this as an invitation and opportunity to:

- Tell us your opinion about the state of the field (Be generous to
  your colleagues please!).

- Share updates us on the state of an on-going project.

- Share new work and get feedback.

- Suggest ideas for new collaborations.

- Or just post a favorite link or photo of something 18th century
related that you think more people should be aware of.

If you work on the Enlightenment writ large, tweet with the hashtag
#DigitizingEnlightenment
(https://twitter.com/hashtag/digitizingenlightenment?src=hashtag_click)
and tell us what you are up to or respond to this Tweet
(https://twitter.com/MelanieConroy1/status/1287905772131819521?s=20).
