Dear colleagues,

As you will have noticed, Humanist has been silent since 12 August. The
hiatus will last for a further period, perhaps as long as a few weeks,
while we make some changes. The need for these was brought to light by a
flood of messages at about that time. Because postings already sent in
will likely be rather stale or require some explanation because the
context has faded from everyone's memory, we'll restart with a clean
slate. I apologise for this hiatus, but Humanist will be better than
ever in several ways when it returns to normal service. Your patience
will be rewarded. Wait and see!
